Music and Ventrilo

I was wondering...

If anyone knew a way to... while playing music (iTunes specifically) and be on Ventrilo at the same time, to have the music STOP playing when somebody speaks, or you want to speak. I have looked on the web and everything I find is people wanting to play music into ventrilo (not what I want) a guildie said he had it setup that way but he forgets how he did it. Anything yall may be able to muster would be greatly appreciated.
