Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Review

Curse of the trilogy has hit pirates. This was the worst of the series. I saw it yesterday and didn't like it. I really wasn't a fan of the 2nd one either but I loved the first. I could see how people say the story was difficult to follow. It made sense to me but at times I felt like “Why the fuck are they doing that?” It seemed disjointed and like lots of stuff happened for no reason.

Davy Jones was not badass enough. He was like the bitch of the Dutch East Indian Company. Calisto did nothing but explain how barbosa came back. She was not needed at all in the movie. I liked Elizabeth in the first movie she was ok in the 2nd, but in the 3rd she seemed like a different character and got on my nerves. Every time she gave a speech I rolled my eyes. But the absolute worst part had to be the millions of plot lines, especially the pirate fucking council.

They setup this epic battle hundreds of Dutch East Indian Ships vs. the Pirates but they just waited while the Dutchman and the Pearl battled. The first movie there was that sense that this could be real even if the cursed Aztec gold made them immortal. The third movie was just way to unbelievable. Since people could be rescued from death you did not care if anyone died. The ending was setup for another movie. I still do not understanding how the writing could be so bad, because in it was so much better in the first.

I would see this movie if you liked the previous ones but it was not worth $11. I would download it or wait for it to be shown on tv.

I liked it, found it to be a better then SpiderMan3.

You said you followed the plot lines but you call out Davy Jones as being a pussy basically. If you followed the plot lines he had every reason to be the way he was. He was heartbroken for his choices he made, he felt betrayed.

As for Calisto, it was to show the disparity that the pirates faced. That they couldn't just turn and run, they had no choice.

Elizabeth did change in this one but at the same time she changed because of her actions at the end of Pirates2. She was casted the same in all 3 movies with her speeches and actions.

I would recommend seeing this in the theaters, it is long but it the 3 hour duration didn't seem like 3 hours.

10/10 was 10x better then spiderman 3 and was well worth the 1billion dollars it took to make it

are you joking me? Pirates 3 really rocked. I was a bit disappointed with Spiderman 3, but this one really kept me on the edge of my seat. Perhaps you're expecting too much for a movie, but I really got my moneys worth from this one.

Some of the characters' motives were unclear at times, and there were a few goofy moments that I didn't think really belonged. I also think there was a bit too much going on throughout the movie and some of the many sub-plots weren't properly wrapped up. All in all I enjoyed it, but it wasn't wicked awesome cool for me like I had hoped it would be.

I expected more really

In the first and second movie there were lots of moments where i would "Laugh out loud" and a great story (Well , 1st was great 2nd was ok) , No Krakken in this one, did i miss something (I saw the bit of the corpse shot) - how did it die?

I had planned to take my GF to see this movie, But i got bored tonight and downloaded a pirate copy (Omgosh), just happy i didnt take my GF out to see this, and kept money instead to go see 28 weeks later this weekend instead, or buy myself some beer

Did not show how it died, just that he was commanded to kill it.

Pirates v3 was amazing IMO, I will need to watch it again to catch all of it but i followed the plot fairly well and there were a bunch of subtle hints towards pieces of the Pirates v1.

Pirates v3 > Spidey v3

IMO Pirates v3 is a must see

so it tonight it was so much better than that trash there calling spidey 3. i think there going to try and follow the book line with a pirt4 on the foutain of youth ending with how disneys ride came about. imo was a very good movie and not hard to follow if u payed attention.

Saw it last night!.....for the second time

Personally thought it was great.....I love how people are saying that there is a big difference in the 2nd and 3rd movie characters "Soandso was different in this one" Well hate to tell ya but the 2nd and 3rd were written and filmed at the same time.

Anyway, people you need to see this more then once IMO just to get all the final plot lines. If you pay attention you don't have to ask "What happened to Krakken" or "Why did Will have to stay on the boat", "Why did will stab the heart, why not jack"....Thats all i hear from people.

Pay Attention.....you'll get it!
