I look at it like a business though (which is what this really is, sadly). Say you file a complaint with the BBB (better business bureau) because Walmart scammed you out of your money. They don't shut Walmart down. They continue to do business because they are a recongnized seller (granted, just about anyone here can be recognized). Now if you get enough complaints and a serious issue takes shape then you should take action. As far as I can tell, that's what happened. Once it became clear that he was taking everyone's money they banned him. It seems to me that the amount of business he was doing (from all the people who claim they lost money from him) that the only complaint listed (as far as I can tell with the search function) came out 4 weeks ago and at first was a dispute between 2 people (with JJ thrown in to the mix). Once the complaints started piling up (as far as I can tell) they banned him.

Maybe I'm wrong -- I wasn't really around for this went it all went down. Like I said as far as I can tell, they took action when it became clear what was going on. That's exactly what I would expect them to do. When dealing with so many people, you have to give people the benefit of the doubt.

I think it's just plain sleezy what arune did, but I don't hold his behavior against anyone else. HE SCREWED OVER EVERYONE. The admins who were doing buisness with him have as much egg on their face as you do -- blaming them helps no one.

Yes, I did post that. You also forget the time that it was posted. I posted it when these things first started with what information I had. You can ask ANYONE that I was talking to about this issue. I made sure I was up to date with all the information, and relayed any information that I had with them through talking with Arune.

Perhaps you should also note that around the same time that message was posted, (the "Arune is not a scammer" message), you should also note the PMs that I received from many people saying they would continue with services after talking with Arune.

Please note that EVERYONE, including myself, wanted to believe what Arune was saying, and that EVERYONE was taken a run for by him, also including myself. We dealt with the situation per the information that we were receiving.

Next, The admins/mods aren't involved enough. If you truly think that DT backed Arune, at the very fucking beginning, because he wanted to see someone get fucked, go find a new website. I'm tired of all the mod hate around here lately. They can't do a goddamn thing right, if they don't act, they fucked people. If they do act, it's a fucking dictatorship and their overstepping their bounds.

Haha, I am loving the hostility being built up. You guys make me laugh. The only thing I am pointing out is 1. the dev's shouldn't vouche for someone they obviously don't know for a fact is legitimate, 2. they shouldn't let someone keep posting ads that they themselves are no longer trusting, and
3. a little recognition that they dropped the ball would be appreciated.

Do we, as people who got the dick by Arune expect the devs to miraculously recover our money? Of course not. Do we fully blame them for what happened? Obviously not. However, sometimes a simple apology such as "sorry guys we shouldn't have allowed him to continue auctioning or gotten involved by vouching he was A-Ok to deal with" goes a long way.

Believe it or not we aren't being rude. It has nothing to do with thinking the devs are over or under involved. The only people that have blown a gasket are the people responding in defense of the devs. Everyone else is simply saying, "how about manning up to your mistake?" You keep saying "the devs are human," but by refusing to offer an apology it is the same as claiming infallibility.

1. Devs have nothing to do with buy/sell, so your angry at the wrong people.
2. It's buyer beware. Sorry a lot of people got hosed, we did what we could to try to resolve it the right way.
3. He was banned for his actions and his auctions were pulled.
4. Mods/Admins can't 100% control Buy/Sell, that's why it's buyer beware.
5. DT did what he could. Arune was put on a time frame which he failed to meet.
6. He won't get away with it, internet detectives im sure will find him with his personal info posted that we have no intention of taking down. He deserves whatever he gets done to him.

The Devs have no responsibility in this, so you're stupid to assume so. The situation sucks, Arune is a dick that fucked a lot of people over for far more than you're complaining about. Mods/Admins did what we could, sorry it worked out against your favor. Shit happens. We don't defend scammers, we out them. As soon as you understand that, you'll move on.

Additionally, I'd like to recommend that Fry and everyone else stay out of any character transactions from now on. That removes any problems that could arise. I'd also like to recommend that they stay out of trying to help resolve issues as well.

All you can base support on is a track record. Arune had a good track record until it was derailed in a huge way. I got taken by him too. C'est la vie.

However, when you start off a thread by singling out and attacking one person, don't come off later trying to say that you're amazed at the hostility and how you're just trying to be an informational source of reason.

We brought that up long ago. We normally do unless it's an extreme situation such as this. I would venture to say 97% of the "issues" brought to us end up being miscommunications that end up as good transactions.

This is just one of those rare issues where a Mod went out of his way to try and bridge the communication between the buyer/seller.

This should also be a lesson to people not to buy services when you know GK/ND is involved.

Yea i too purchased a character gearing from him a while back. Still havent gotten any money back and still trying to talk with him to see whats going on. I purchased this long before any of the other posts were up. Ill keep posted what happens with my purchase.

I realize that Kodi, and I think what is done is great. However, when the 3% of the time gets a mod torched by name, I would let people take all the risks on their own shoulders. They can work out the miscommunication on their own, resolve issues on their own, and find a new way to verify that accounts are true and valid.

It simply makes sure that no mod will be 'responsible' for any problems again in the future.
