Only reason you would want Xp 64 is if you are going to run more then 4 gigs of combined memory and I dont really see that happening on a laptop.

Having just done this let's me discuss on XP 64... Drivers are not an issue. I do love my 8 gigs of ram, but I REALLY dislike that iTunes doesn't work properly. I really dislike losing out on various applications which don't support xp 64, which has been the killer for me. Specially surrounding my iPod, which I am a bit of a nut for. (5 minute pause happened here) On the other hand, I can think of nothing else I need/want that won't work under XP 64, so all in all, it is very much worthwhile going if you have 4 gigs of ram, or more.
