Load up EQ like normal at the log in page it should look like this.
The last page it gives option to change your video resolution. Change it to 800x600 Login Account EQ Live WebSpace Help Options <--- use this to get to the video setting Exit

unless your running a lap top should not have any issues.
The 800x600 resolution change fixed it? I had that issue myself I set it to a resolution my monitor did not support so it would kick me every time clicked connect to server.

Well actually JJ I am running on a laptop. I got one of those Refurbished XPS dell's that someone had mentioned.
The quick specs are XPS 1730 intel core du0 CPU t7500 @2.20 ghz 3262 gigs of ram showing (4 gigs of ram) 32 bit OS Windows Vista 8700 nvidia with 512m of ram on that AGEIA PhysX card I read some folks saying that the Duo Core didnt work well with everquest because the game is old and it dosent use it. It actually zones slower than my old laptop and that was 3ghz Mobile processor (like 1.4GHZ in comparision) I remember switching something to a different number in the eq folder for dsl, I cant remember what though. I changed 1 number value to 4.5 or something I just cant find it now. *Datarate.txt is the file you change for DSL Just gotta find out what number. You have been a great help. |

datarate.txt is what it used to be but that is no longer required.
Laptops have powersave mode or some bullshit that effects the performance with c2d someone who has one would have to help you with the fix. I could never get the one I bought to work worth a fuck so I returned it and got a tv instead =)
