Ad on MMOBugs

I'm not sure how or why this happened, and I just wanted to get confirmation if there will be more ads on this site, like the one below. Is this going to be an ad supported site in the future?

A few sites have contacted us about advertising so we put up some basic google ads for a trial. I put them up in the least obstructive spot I could find.

If you don't like them, grab firefox and adblock and they'll be gone for good.

normally we will trust anything u throw our way. "generally" speaking. so please for our sake make sure these places have decent rep...would hate people pissed at bugs cuz they got scammed on a site that was advertising here...but im sure u know all this 8-) my2c luv the pink.

I don't think they have any control over the companies that advertise in the box.

For example, if you get out the absinthe thread, you'll notice the ads change to absinthe ads -- I highly doubt that anyone here is vouching for any absinthe company here.

I'm pretty sure the ads just picks up keywords on the page and generated ads from their database based on those keywords.

P.S. SOE used to have that problem over on their boards (haven't been there in awhile so I don't know if they still do) -- there used to be plat seller ads in the box and people were complaining that SOE was advertising for plat sellers on their website.
