Thanks for all the replies I yanked the mobo out and put in a P6N that I had upgraded from it cleared it up and I contacted MSI and mailed the new one back today. I tried to flash the bios but it wouldn't let me. Any attempts to access the bios rebooted the system. I talked to MSI and sadly they told me that it has happened more with the P7N and they are looking into the problem. And yea I had updated the bios to what MSI recommended 2days before the problems started. As far as the overclock goes I know of quite a few people that have my CPU and are clocking it to 4.51 with no problems and it was solidly stable for 2months now at 4.2. Anyway thanks again I really appreciate it.

Glad to hear you got the issue cleared up! Sorry to hear about the RMA, but I guess it happens sometimes.

That's not always correct. on the Intel Mobo they have a bios recovery mode. You pull a jumper and have a bios image loaded on a USB Thumb Drive or on a CD and the system will flash the bios without ever posting. |
